The Nintendo Switch 2 has been the recipient of some 'impossible' ports in its initial months on the market, and this week, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (https://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch-2/final-fantasy-vii-remake-intergrade) joined the ranks.
Playing Square Enix's acclaimed 2020 remake on Nintendo's hybrid console would have been a pipe dream, but FFVII looks, runs, and feels exceptional on Switch 2. Yes, there are some technical downgrades from the PS5 version, such as a 30fps cap, but overall, this is a remarkable demonstration of the new hardware's capabilities.
Our Alana reviewed Square Enix's latest project with a 9/10 score (https://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/nintendo-switch-2/final-fantasy-vii-remake-intergrade), calling it "remarkable." She assured those new to Final Fantasy VII that the Switch 2 port is an incredible way to experience (part of) one of the most influential games ever made, despite some additions.
